Franklin Firm Adding Change Management Focus

News-Change-ManagementArête Purpose, based in Franklin, Indiana, has announced it will begin providing online content and learning experiences on topics related to personal, professional and organizational change.

Founded in 2017, Arête has offered strategic planning consultation to businesses and nonprofit organizations. Elizabeth M. Johnson LMFT, LCSW and Arête Partner, said the firm will continue with that service, but clients also are seeking connection and resources while navigating change.

“Distractions, competing priorities and constant pressures are leaving people and organizations feeling fragmented and pulled in different directions. We are offering experiences to help them rediscover meaning and purpose,” said Johnson, who also is licensed family therapist.

For example, Arête will begin hosting groups and workshops and providing resources for people dealing with emotional trauma related to chronic illness. Another program will assist people age 55 and older discover purpose in their next chapters.

“Since the COVID pandemic, people and organizations are either struggling or seeking direction while dealing with disruptions. We will have online and in-person work groups, blogs, podcasts, videos and other opportunities for them to connect and learn,” said Jeff Owen, also an Arête partner.

In a related matter, Dr. Maria Gray-Gerhart has become a facilitator and content creator for Arête.

Dr. Gray-Gerhart is an author, workshop presenter and artist. She penned “Always Sunshine Yellow” in 2023 – an inspiring collection of poems about her journey with chronic illness. She has a PhD in Education Administration and Leadership from Indiana State University and is a former teacher and school administrator.

“Maria’s work is insightful, meaningful and inspirational,” Johnson said.
